After receiving his architecture degree, the recession of 2009 hurled Josh full-time into an unexpected career path in the service industry. He now merges his design process and passion for growing businesses with the world of cocktails, bars, and restaurants. He has never looked backed.
Currently located in Los Angeles, he is a published barman, educator, designer, and cocktail professional. Josh has ten years of bar industry experience in both high volume and ultra-craft settings. His ability to combine the efficiency of high volume with the accuracy of craft bartending is what makes the establishments he consults for so successful. A truly great bar program goes beyond the cocktails themselves, accounting for several underlying parameters that guide the decision-making process to create a thriving businesses. Josh has helped several bars and restaurants establish themselves as cocktail destinations through his strategic style of consulting and managing. He thoroughly enjoys educating and instilling inspiration into the hearts and hands of his bar teams. In addition to his consulting services, he enjoys working with brands digitally and creatively to help establish and engage their customer base. Josh has hosted educational discussions for the public and restaurant professionals, been featured on Podcasts, been written up in local and national articles as well as been published in two books, Mulehead and Finishing Touches (available February, 2018).
